A: Windows Vista will be available for purchase in early January 2007. If you have a TechNet or MSDN subscription you can download the RTM version.

Quick Tips

If your PC supports Windows Aero open multiple files and see how easy it is to locate the correct window using Windows Flip (ALT+TAB) or Flip 3D (Windows key+TAB).

To run a program click on the Windows Orb and start typing the name of the program. When you see it in the list double click on it or if it's at the top of the list press the Enter key to run it.

If you need to run several programs with elevated privileges start an elevated command prompt and run them from there. Any programs run from an elevated command prompt will also have elevated privileges. To get an elevated command prompt click on the Windows Orb and type command. Right click on Command Prompt in the list above and pick Run as administrator.
