This has come up in the past. Should we have a forum for tutorials and/or links. Last time it came up it was decided not to have this as it might attract spammers. What does everyone think? Is it a good idea?

Thanks,

So far, you seem to have been able to keep most of the spammers out. I remember that incdent where the PM's were disabled for awhile, but nothing else that serious, so I don't know if it's that much of a concern.

I do find that I'm linking to other sites for well worded (with pictures) "simple" procedures rather than having to write them out however many times they're needed. Would it be nice to have something like that here? Sure. Let the other guys link to us for a change. Will it add to the quality of this site? That would depend upon the number and quality of tutorials and usefulness of any links. Only time would answer that question, if you wanted to take that chance.

Hmmmmmm, I guess that places me smack dab on the fence, doesn't it? :?

My problem with any ’sticky’ thread that contains links is that the links can very quickly become outdated or even removed. These days, before I post a link, I always check that the site still exists.

So, overall I'm against any new section.

I suppose we could give it a try. The thing is, you spend a lot of your time managing these forums, wouldn't adding something like this ding into more of your time??? I can't speak for Bonzo or Burr, but I would be willing to help you as in watching for spammers etc. I guess it's up to you to decide if there is enough demand to warrant this sort of thing.

Anyway, I am offering my services if you want to give it a whirl.

Cheers
